Book 10. Upland Habitats and Mosquito Control
Upland natural and man-made freshwater habitats are described including open water bodies, marshes, and streams. An analysis of stormwater control structures for their potential as mosquito-breeding sites is included. Stormwater structures can improve surface water quality by removing solids and coliform bacteria through water detention and retention. The research addresses the potential of such structures to create mosquito habitat and techniques to minimize vector production. Book 10 contains the following Parts:
